In trouble again
Our Ford 9" diff modified for the Scout has again let us down, at Port Augusta. RACV instructed the SA RAA to put the Scout on a tray and take it to the workshops, then our van and us to the Big 4 park where they had paid for our site. The 4km tow was $250, and RACV told the RAA guy they would pay it rather than have us risk further damage driving the vehicle to the park.
That option was not available under RAA cover. The Victorian
RACV was the best in Australia when I downloaded and read the conditions of Roadside Assistance from every firm offering such cover, before we took RACV Total Care, before leaving on this trip.
